Hello:
This is one of the personal songs Amy has written. This song was written for Bonnie Lee, Amy's sister. She was born in 1984 and died in 1987. She was 3 year's old. Bonnie's demise was the cause of an undisclosed illness. Amy also adored her sister, and when she died, Amy was devastated. This song has never been performed live, and Amy has said, a number of times, that she would have rather had "Breathe No More" on the album instead of "Hello."
Demo
0:00 - 0:16
Playground school bell rings again Rain clouds come to play again Has no one told you she’s not breathing? Hello I am your mind giving you Someone to talk to Hello
1:08 - 1:18
If I smile and don’t believe Soon I know I’ll wake from this dream Don’t try to fix me I’m not broken Hello I am the lie living for you so you can hide Don’t cry
2:13 - 2:41
Suddenly I know I’m not sleeping Hello I’m still here all that’s left of yesterday
3:10 - 3:33

Some info:
Undisclosed illness my foot. Michelle from ev.it has stated that most likely the cause of death was not some 'mysterous' disease but of an epileptic shock. Bonnie is said to have been killed when she went into shock while taking a bath. She drowned to death while having a seizure because no one was looking after her. Amy's brother also has epilepsy.
Some people theorize that Amy had to record Hello quite a number of times, before she got it right, because of the emotional stress that the song caused her. I think that might be a bit overly dramatized because she seemed to play it fine in that video with the piano.
The Hello (Practice Sessions) that is floating around on the internet is just Hello Fallen + echo effect to make it seem like it was played live.

I know Robbie has it but I had no idea that Bonnie went into epileptic shock and drowned in the tub. And no one was watching her? I don't think Amy's parents would have left a 3 year old in the tub alone. And I certainly don’t think they were that irresponsible (not saying that they are now, I don't know them). You're not supposed to leave you kids in the tub alone until they're about 7 or 8 anyway, unless they have an illness.
I often wondered that about "Hello" myself.[/size]

Is it true that Michelle actually confirmed this? I don't think that I remember her posting about that subject or anything related to it. Could you post her original post here if you have it in your notes? I remember that I posted a quote on FMB a long time ago from a lyrics site that dated back to 2003. Supposedly, that person said he or she knew the Lee family and the cause of Amy's sister's death, but I'm not sure if that post was really a reliable source.
