Funny that you should go to Safeway. Bread is on aisles 1 and 3. Booze is aisle 2. Crackers and cookies and chips are aisle 15 (I had to show a lady where they were today), the signature sandwhiches in the deli are to DIE for (try a pannini...it's a toasted sandwich, and they're great too). Can't tell that I work there, huh?

Simon had a Sandwhich when we went there, BUT i will be trying the Pannini.. It sounds delicious! The driving is not going well at all, I hit the Neighbours Trash cans serveral times just getting out of the Driveway. the whole right hand thing puts me off lol. And i have been asked to Say G'Day at least 15 times lol

Go out to the country, where there's less to hit, and practice when there's not much traffic. It'll help a LOT.

OMG, Last nite i drove. Well just down to the Shops, And I Hit the Bumper, on the curb and it came off, Simon jumped out of the car, and checked the car out and A Few Choice words came out of his mouth. Now he's mad at me. I can't believe how hard it is to drive here, In Australia i was such a good driver, Here i am making stupid mistakes and Hitting things and Simon is getting very frustrated with me. He has told me i am not allowed to drive the car. He starts work soon and he wanted me driving so i could go Shopping and That. GRRRR

Wait a min...in Autralia you guys drive contrary to us? But I though it was only like that in UK...
Ah but in any case you'll be fine Jus. It's just a matter of "repositioning" yourself; especially if you were good in Australia, I don't see why you wouldn't make it here. I am ready to bet that in a short period of time, you'll be better than me...and mind you I've been driving for about 3 or 4 years and I still have difficulty with that.
Good luck. ETA: Corrected 3 mistaskes. You guys don't mind the bad english writting. I don't get what's up with my brain lately...

we drive on the right side if the road, the car steering wheel is on the left hand side of the car. It's not the driving I am having troubles with it's the positioning and learning not to go into the wrong lane.. Once i've mastered that i'll be fine, it'll be a breeze. it's not so cold tonight, Yay!!! or maybe i'm getting used of it..

Ive seen cars with the left hand steering wheel....But mines actually got the wheel on the right hand side of the car, and yes, getting used to the sides of the road will be difficult, lmao!
Just think back to when you were a learner driver Juss, lmao! That'll help I think, because I know that now Im driving, being a learner driver, it is difficult to actually NOT hit things, lmao!!!!

American cars have the wheel on the left side of the car, and we drive on the right side of the street. Does that help, Mary?

Yep...both with what side of the car you drive from, and the side of the road you drive on.

So now I get it!
And because of this whole talk about car accident, I actually dreamed that I had a car accident. Thank God that that was just a dream.
