On the 15th I had a grand Mal Seizure, I fell down the stairs and hit my head, Simon awoke at 7am to find me unconcious at the bottom of the stairs, I'd Busted my head open so I'd Bled alot, By the time he found me it was about 5 hrs later and i woke up 3hrs later in the hospital with 11 stitches and NO memory of what had happened, The last thing i remember is Feeling sick and getting up to get a drink, I had a blood Transfusion and more tests for my epilepsy. and was realeased on the Yesterday.
Simon Started Work Yesterday and called me several times during the day to see if i was ok, I am ok, just sore.. Driving !! well i am not allowed to drive until they find a treatment that works for my epilepsy. So Gloria down the street is taking Emma and I Shopping when she goes..

Sorry to hear that you're sick again, with the seizures. Those suck. Glad you're ok though. I have a feeling Depekote is in your future. It's an oldie, but it usually works pretty well, when the newer seizure meds won't. Get some rest, and feel better soon.

It's all trial and error for me unfortunatly, I had epilepsy as a kid and then for years never had seizures. Last Year after i lost the first baby i started having them again, Stress they had put in down to.. Normally I feel sick about 15 mins before i have a seizure, so i try and Get Emma in her cot and myself to a safe place, and most of the time that works, But the latest Grand mal i had no warning.. I'm feel okay and i am resting, Emma and I spend our days, Laying in bed Emma watching DVD's, and i read . Simon will ring me regually and check on me and i am pretty sure he's got the neighbours in on it too lol Well i am gonna have to Go the phone is ringing no doubt it'll be Simon EDIT: It wasn't Simon lol,

Those kinds of med usually are trial and error. Too bad it's mostly error. BUT, if they find that you do better on one drug, they'll usually up it until they can't up it any more. Then if that doesn't work, they'll just change it up again. Took almost 3 years to get me on the right cocktail of allergy/asthma medications to stablize my lungs, but we did it. I have faith in most US docs....although, I've had a few quacks, as we call them. I hope you have a good neurologist!

No Real Change. EEG went ok, She had a partial Seizure while connected up to it so they've found the area in which the seizures are occuring. Which is good, we have to discuss now the courses of action.. Good news is there was no permanent Paralysis, from the grand mal Only Temporary. so yeah

Okay well I jumped the gun a little, She's not coming home just yet She's staying in a few more days just to make sure the meds are working, She is on Topamax and Dilantin. That is working for the time being, However while taking these drug we cannot try for another baby, They are searching for another drug so we can still try for another baby, But that not urgent. What's urgent is getting her Better. She is going to have Surgery on May the 15th, To remove the abnormal cells in her brain, Ideally this surgery will reduce the Seizures and the need for drugs. So she's opted for that. We can only hope for the best. Thanks so much for your thoughts. Simon

Yeah, those two drugs are bad when you're pregnant. They're both pretty strong. I hope the surgery works liek it's supposed to. I've heard a lot of good things about the surgeries.

We've Heard good things too about surgerys But I made clear to Jus That the decision was entirely hers, i wasn't about to say they could operate on her brain, she had to make the choice.
