Thought we could have a thread for the amazing Within Temptation. I don't remember if we had a thread for them on the previous version of FOI, but now we do! Anyways... Their new album leaked yesterday. Head on over to FMB if you want the album. But don't be a free-music-moocher.

Thats horrible that the new album leaked! Its not like it won't be available to people. I can't wait for the new album though, I'm going to buy it when it comes out. And for US citizens it WILL be available in stores! They have signed with a record label here..so now you won't have to import there cds or order them online(enless you want to).

Ah, yes, I'm listening to it right now. "The Heart of Everything" is still my favorite song on it, though. I probably just haven't listened to the rest of it enough, though. It takes me notoriously long to get into things. I'm totally going to buy the limited Dutch edition with "What Have You Done (Rock Mix)" as a bonus track instead of the American version with "Stand My Ground". I'm not sure I'll be able to get the Rock Mix otherwise, since it's not on the singles. I'm trying to figure out the best way to get it, though. Everyone always says that ordering from the official site sucks, but I don't know where else to find it. (Actually, it leaked yesterday. I lucked out and was just checking FMB for the day when someone was in the process of uploading it.)

I'm DEFINITELY buying it now. I'm totally going to buy the limited Dutch edition with "What Have You Done (Rock Mix)" as a bonus track instead of the American version with "Stand My Ground". I'm not sure I'll be able to get the Rock Mix otherwise, since it's not on the singles. I can always send you Stand My Ground. Since I am an American. And will be purchasing the American version.

The reason I don't want to have "Stand My Ground" on The Heart of Everything is that I already have it on The Silent Force. I have a pretty good Within Temptation collection. 1. Enter2. The Dance3. Mother Earth: green re-release version (not digipak) 4. Ice Queen Single: 6 tracks 5. Mother Earth Single: 6 tracks 6. Ice Queen Single re-release: digipak, 6 tracks 7. Mother Earth Single re-release: 5 tracks 8. Mother Earth Tour: 2 DVDs + CD, no English subtitles >_< 9. Running Up That Hill Single: 3 tracks 10. The Silent Force: premium digipak, 13 tracks 11. Stand My Ground Single: digipak, 5 tracks 12. Memories Single: digipak, 5 tracks 13. Angels Single: digipak, 5 tracks 14. The Silent Force Tour: 2 DVDs + CD, this time with English subtitles! I love shopping on the internet. ;D I want to get the Running Up That Hill CD/DVD single, but it tends to go for close to $100 USD, so that's a no go. I've also been trying to track down the Our Farewell and Restless singles, but they're also too rare. But of course, I will add the What Have You Done 5-track single to this and The Heart of Everything soon.

I thought the WHYD Single had the Rock Mix & Single Version along with Blue Eyes & the 2 lives from Java?

I'm just now getting started on listening to them. I had heard Restless a few years ago. That was when I thought it was a new Ev song. But I'm really liking this new CD. ;D

I would really like to download the rest of the songs on The Heart Of Everything, but I can't. My hard drive is on the verge of crashing if I don't get an external hard drive quickly.

You still haven't gotten a new one yet? I though you got one already?

I did get one, but it doesn't work. I think I may have done something wrong on the first day that I got it. There weren't really any instructions to follow. I think it may have stopped working because I unplugged it while the computer was on and running. I don't know... I thought that external hard drives were hot-swappable devices.

Did you do the "safely eject hardware" thing? I think that's all you need to do, and I suppose it could have stopped working if you didn't. Maybe you just got a defective one, though. I listened to "The Truth beneath the Rose" about seven times in a row last night. Is that a bad thing? ;D

How do you eject hardware if it's trapped inside a box?

If you have Windows XP, when you have some removable device plugged in, down by the clock there should be an icon with a green arrow. You double-click it, choose what you want to disconnect, and hit stop. It will then pop up one of the yellow message boxes and tell you that it's safe to disconnect it.
Still, if it had failed on the first day, I'd have tried to get a refund.

^ We were going to return it, but my father lost the receipt. >.< Maybe we should move this discussion to the "Pointless Topic" Thread or something, because this is not related to Within Temptation in any shape, form, or matter.
