The Open Door, Track #7
Written By: Amy Lee and Terry Balsamo.
A 22-cord orchestra led by Dave Campbell (with whom Evanescence had already worked for their performance at the Billboard Awards 2004) starts off in order to introduce a choir, which serves as back up for Amy’s singing.
Amy: ‘Dave Campbell is an enormous inspiration source for me, he’s so talented. The way he arranges orchestral parts is remarkable. It's the element of our music that makes me cry!''
The guitar solo of Terry in the middle of the song adds to its beauty before the choir closes with a note doing a decrescendo. Recorded in a chapel near Seattle, we have here the second pearl of the album.
The song features nearly the entire score as presented in Mozart's Requiem, part III - "Lacrimosa". The term "lacrimosa," or "lacrymosa" means "weeping" / "to weep" in latin.
Here are the lyrics for Mozart's original score, which are featured in the BG of Ev's song.
"Lacrymosa dies illa, qua resurget ex favilla judicandus homo reus.
Huic ergo parce Deus, pie Jesu Domine, dona eis requiem! Amen!"

Lacrimosa:
Yes, this is an ADAPTION of Mozart's "Lacrimosa" which is part of his "Requiem."
0:00 - 0:15
Out on your own
Cold and alone again
Can this be what you really wanted, baby?
0:36 - 0:40
Blame it on me
Set your guilt free
Nothing can hold you back now
0:58 - 1:08
Now that you're gone
I feel like myself again
Grieving the things I can't repair and willing
1:28 - 1:32
To let you blame it on me
And set your guilt free
I don't want to hold you back now love
I can't change who I am
Not this time, I wont lie to keep you near me
And in this short life, there's no time to waste on giving up
My love wasn't enough
2:37 - 2:56
And let them blame it on me
Just set your guilt free, honey
I don't want to hold you back now love
3:16 - 3:37
Additional Information: This version was used in the trailer for "The Tudors." It's pretty neat.
