Hello, everybody! Hi, I'd like to make a question. Remember when David says "You're not saving that, there's a lot of prejudice against the undead"? OK, I'm here to ask about the meaning of the word "undead". In english-portuguese dictionaries, this word means something like [glow=red,2,300]zombies[/glow], but what I've gotten is that David wanted to say "you only laught at me 'cause I'm alive, if I were dead you wouldn't be so bad", this is what I understand. Un-dead = [glow=red,2,300]not dead[/glow] So...

the sound clip "there's alot of prejudice against the undead" isn't anything to do with the actual blooper itself, it's just a little bit that was added in by Ben (I assume it's something to do with his obsession with zombies...) but basically, the "undead" are beings from beyond the grave, like zombies, that should be dead, but are driven by some mystical force giving the appearance that they are still alive. Vampires are considered undead as well as they too are supposed to be dead which is why they are always ghostly white, have no heartbeat, no reflection, etc. and yet they still walk the earth! it's a strange subject with many theories and descriptions.

Oh, thanks a lot for the info! And you're right, a lot of things can be found about it. But, I've got just a little more question, if I can: is it David talking, in the sound clip? And this is not a quote from any movie, I guess... Or it is? Thanks for your comprehension again

I've always thought vampires are the living dead, well which is basically the same thing as undead. Wait no. Undead means you're not dead, so we're considered undead. Living dead is people who rise/awake from the grave like Vampires, Zombie... etc.
"There's a lot of prejudice against the undead." is from a movie. I don't know which one.

Neither of them are movie quotes.

I don't think that Ben even speaks at all in this blooper. I'm pretty sure it's only David.
Maybe the whole "there's a lot of prejudice against the undead" isn't related to zombies at all. I actually think David is just talking about people. Undead = People, because they are alive, thus, undead. ...I don't know... maybe David is just quoting a movie or something? But David is the one speaking, not someone from a movie.

Well, maybe if "undead" means "zombies", not just "people", this can be a quote from some movie, but it's like David talking this quote.

Undead means living. We're living. Zombies are dead. So they're the Living Dead. Living Dead means awoken from the grave.

"Undead" is more typically used to refer to zombies, vampire, et al. as a group, meaning basically "dead but still kicking". It's the same thing as "living dead". The American Heritage Dictionary has a single definition: Bram Stoker coined the term for Dracula. See also Wikipedia.
