Exodus
The Evanescence EP, Track 4
Amy Lee plays the piano in this song. It is also one the the earlier songs that have been recorded. Thanks to EvBoard.com
Exodus:
My black backpacks stuffed with broken dreams Twenty bucks should get me through the week Never said a word of discontentment Thought it a thousand times but now I’m leaving home
Here in the shadows I’m safe, I’m free I’ve nowhere else to go but I cannot stay where I don’t belong
0:55 - 1:03
Two months pass by and it’s getting cold I know I’m not list I’m just alone But I won’t cry, I won’t give up, I can’t go back now Waking up is knowing who you really are
1:39-1:51
Here in the shadows I’m safe, I’m free I’ve nowhere else to go but I cannot stay where I don’t belong
In the shadows I’m safe, I’m free I’ve nowhere else to go but I cannot stay here
Oh, show me the shadow where true meaning lies So much more dismay in empty eyes
2:42 - 3:03[/color]

Some info: Amy plays piano on this track. I dunno why people insist that that must be stated first. Only fools would think David would somehow play them this early in the Eva History but oh well. Exodus is an earlier song, the 97-98 'demo' of Exodus being the same as the EP one only, however, having a static sound in the word 'back-pack' and sounding of lesser quality. Because of this, it is theorized that this was the first try of ripping to Ben's computer from their recorder but was ripped badly and thusly was the 'demo' of Exodus. They tried again and that made it to the EP (no static or bad sounds), thus becoming the 'EP' version. Info from: ev.it
