My MySpace has been recently phished. What should I do? MySpace blocked my profile, so I can't send a message to any of my friends and vice versa. They're telling me to change my password, but I can't remember what my current password is. Also, my MySpace has my old e-mail address that was deleted over a year ago, so I'm not receiving any e-mails and can't access them. If my MySapce was phished, does that mean that someone also has access, not just to the site, but to my whole computer as well?

Try changing your password without the old one. I dunno if you can or not, but whomever has the password may have changed it anyway. I back up all my HTML, just in case I have to delete my account. I've been deleted before, due to phishing. So, change your password, if you can, and then change your e-mail address in your profile, and NEVER re-log on to the site unless you look at the address bar first. If it's anything but www.myspace.com, it's a phishing site. www.2myspace.com or www.nyspace.com or ANYTHING close to the address, but not actually the address, is phishing. They only have access to your myspace info, nothing else. If you're really worried about your IP addy, change it by turning off your modem for a minute, then turning it back on. You'll get a new IP when your modem logs on to the ISP servers.
