There's a Björk thread, wow totally missed it. ^_^
I love her, she's completely different and insane to other singers. It's almost as if she's from some far away planet (musically & vocally).
What's your favourite album? (If you can answer that. ) I really, really love Vespertine.
If you like her, you might want to check out Iva Bittová, she's a Czech singer/violinist, but she is the Czech Republics "answer" to Björk. Her voice isn't as soothing as Björk's but, its still beautiful music.

My favorite Björk album? I can't really answer that, sorry. But I really like Vespertine too. I know that Debut and Volta aren't my favorite albums (and I do like them), so that narrows it down to four albums. I really like Homogenic, but I know that it's not my top favorite album. I really like a lot of songs on Medúlla, but then there are those that I don't really care too much for. I guess it's between Post and Vespertine for me. I guess either one can be my favorite depending on my mood. Thanks for mentioning Iva Bittová. I'll be sure to check her music out some time eventually.

I've been trying to get into Medulla, but I am having a hard time with it. What are your favourite tracks from Medulla? Maybe the ones you really like, I'll like...and then I'll get into the album. I haven't heard Volta. I'm gonna try to get more Bjork albums for my b-day and x-mas I really, really believe that Vespertine might be one of the greatest cds ever recorded...its just so damn beautiful.

My favorite track from Medúlla is "Oceania," probably. I think that it may have actually been the very first song I ever heard by Björk, but I could be wrong (it was one of the first, anyways). I watched the music video while listening to the song, so I guess that is what attracted me and caught my attention. Just watch the music video on YouTube or something, and I'm sure that you'll proabably be impressed like I was. Other tracks I like from Medúlla include: "Pleasure Is All Mine," "Where Is The Line?," "Who Is It?," "Triumph Of A Heart," and more. If you like Vespertine, I think that you may like Medúlla as well. At least, to me, they have some similarities, like being more ambient (if I'm using the word in the correct context?) than the other albums. Volta was actually the very first Björk album that I heard. The first single "Earth Intruders" got me pretty hooked, and I liked the rest of the album as well. I thought that the male guest vocals added a nice touch too. Vespertine may just be one of the best albums out there, definitely. Amy Lee actually commented on the album back on EvBoard (if memory serves right) and said that she was astounded that the rest of the world wasn't able to catch onto how cool the album really is. Oh well, people like us are able to recognize its artistic mastery anyways. The album definitely has that effect on you where you feel like you are being transported to another place out of this mortal coil, like a dreamland of sorts. It truly is a brilliant album.

Thanks for the Medulla song recommendations! I'll listen to those songs...I love Oceania, its so pretty and really "raw", you know what I mean? Not over produced. LOL I just had the funniest moment now with Oceania, I was on Skye Sweetnams website, but I had Oceania playing and a song was playing on Skye's website...I was like WTF is going on Bjork? lol Vespertine caught on with music critics, its been named on several sites/magazines as one of the best albums/album you should listen to type list. But I think Bjork hasn't 100% caught on with mainstream..she's too "odd" for most people. And yes, its truly brilliant.

Wow, I haven't really been listening to Björk at all for a while. I'm too preoccupied with listening to Tori Amos and other music at the moment. Lol. I definitely do still like her music though.
