Well, I'll be job hunting next week, at the job fair that is. I am a bit stressed out about it because I've done that, but we'll see. I am incredibly sad that they don't have anybody from the North of Ontario, or at least Toronto, as I am seriously considering moving there next year...

I have a really good friend there. Problem is jobs. Hard for an American to get a job in Canada and get a work Visa. I've done research, and OMG is it demanding. But I understand why. If it was that difficult in the US, we'd have less illegals here.

^Ah yeah, it's crazy hard. You almost need to get married to a canadian or get a job offer. Can't you move closer to the border though? There may have more jobs there...

Maybe. But my daughter is moving to Texas. I'm thinking I'm moving there, if anywhere, but I don't know. I really don't know. Arizona is getting like California, so it may be dumb to move there if it's going to just like here in 3 years. Jumping out of the fire and into the frying pan...neither one is good. If I have to pack up my life, it HAS to be a positive thing for the rest of my foreseeable future.

I plan to search for a job tomorrow, Friday, or this weekend since I'm on my Spring Break and back home from college. I worked at Six Flags Great Adventure last summer and they left me call, asking if I would like to come back. I did not particularly like that job, but I will call them just to use it as a back-up plan. Hopefully, I will find a better job in my actual hometown.

Hooray for edible sammich....
And I'd LOVE to work at 6 Flags! I've worked amusement parks before, and I enjoyed it.

I remember when, a few years back, this lady wouldn't hire you. She was ridiculous, but it was her bad obviously. Good luck inwith your job search!

Back from the job fair, and darn, my brain is shut. I gave less CVs than I wanted, but the few places that have it are the places I would like working for. (So like what, 4 or 5 places have my CV?) I also met my teacher there, and she's so enthusiast about me working in mental health, that she wants me to keep her contact so that later on, if I don't like my job, I can e-mail her and see if there are any place at the hospital where she works. I would really want to move and work with the indians, as they pay for renting and moving up, but I don't think it is a good thing when you start...BUT they have olympic pools. ;D Now, all I need is get the info about sudbury/thunderbay and see if any organization there wants me. If they do, I may as well move there....hahaha, I don't know anything about these cities, except that they have the biggest finnish community in Canada and I sooo wanna move there.

Awesome. Hope it works out. I applied for a job today for a group home for adults, doing what I did with the kids. I sent them my CV (resume` here) tonight. I'm hoping I get a call.

^^Any news yet? Too bad you are not living here, I would know one person to refer you to and maybe he would know pple who have a job for you.... I am not too worried about finding a job in Quebec. Of course, if I get too picky about what I want, then yeah, I may have a problem....but we'll see. And if I become really desesperate, I can work for an agency either here or in the US. OT is a great job opportunity for now at least. I think Thunder Bay is what will be complicated.

Nope. No news, no calls. But I'm still hopeful. They're deadline for applications is the 31st, so most likely won't hear anything until closer to that date.
