haha. Glad to see I am not the only who obsesses about these. Yesterday, I had a to actually make a list the questions I answered badly just for future reference. One of my point was "never ever mention geography you ninny". Hey! I too have an interview tomorrow morning. What are the odds! Good luck with yours, I wish you to get it, it's seems like such a good opportunity.

Good luck on yours too!
*edit*
I don't know how well it went. They gave me no inidication, but took a LOT of notes when I was talking. The 45 min interview lasted almost 2 hours, total. I hope that's a good thing!

^^^^Were they nodding in small, but firm manner? hahaha But seriously if they take lots of notes, I think it's good. If you were saying total gibberish, they probably wouldn't bother. Mine went okay, better than the last one. lol I did polish some of my answers since my last one. There were 4 people. A record so far. BTW, so far I had 2 job offers. One I refused: it was a private practice and I would have gotten screwed up BIG TIME. The other is in mental health in the public sector. They don't expect any answer til middle of october -- well, in the middle of october we'll discuss things. I guess if I were not to accept, I'd have to contact them before... My only thing is that so far, nobody from the english sector has contacted me. And I so wanna work in english. Been in an english environment for 6 or 7 years now and I have loved every bit of it. Can't imagine going back to being in an all inclusive french environment anymore. That's soooo gonna blow. *sigh*

But with the job market the way it is, a job's a job...take what you can get for now, and move to something better when you can.

Hey, I am not complaining. It's a bit easier with my degree to find a job opportunity. So, if I don't get the environment I want right away, it's okay. But if I do, then it'll be like the cherry on top of the sunday.

So, the interview that went badly, well I got the job. Surprising but true. Although she was pushing for me to give her an answer now, after much talk, she finally accepted to give me some time to think. At this point she cannot tell me what job she would give me, although she insists that if I say yes now, I *may* have something in mental health. Not sure if I buy that.

That's awesome. I need an interview to go horribly wrong so I can get a job. The interviews go good, and I hear nothing back. I dunno what I'm doing wrong!

You could call them back to inquire about how they are doing relative to their decision.
Did they tell you when they would make their decision? It's odd that they don't call you back.

They didn't say when they'd call me. But I DID send a thank you e-mail the day after the interview.

Well, in that case calling them back makes even more sense. With the thank you note you've already showed your interest for the job, so I don't think they would be surprised if you were to call them back to inquire about the status of your application. Plus it's a good way to remind them of you. I don't know what's proper behavior in US for an interview, but in Canada, it's okay to ask about when they will be calling you back. However money or geography talk (unless brought up by the employer) is a big no-no.

I didn't think about it at the time. I got a letter from them last week, saying they were exploring other people who are better qualified.

Yeah, I figure so. When they don't call you back, that's usually because they don't accept you.
I was really hoping that you were going to get it though...

So, I ended up working at Six Flags Great Adventure again after all. Due to the economy, they're cutting everyone's hours in half, basically. There are too many employees and not enough customers coming is what I am assuming is the problem. Last year, I would work five days a week for an average of six or seven hours. Nowadays, I am only working three days a week for three hours usually; five if I'm lucky. I'm on minimum wage, so it looks like I won't be making that much money this summer. Oh well.

I'd even be ok with a job like that. Some is better than none, and getting out of the house, networking with people is HUGE. It's hard to not get sucked in to depression when you can't find a job. I haven't left the house for 5 days, and only got dressed today because I'm babysitting tonight. Thought I was taking myself to the movie to see Inception, but that's put off until Thursday, when my friend will go with me. So, getting out of the house is a big thing when you're fighting depression.

Yes, I agree. I assume that you're also replying to my post in the "Pointless Topic" thread, correct? Coincidentally, I actually went out today with some friends to see "Inception." It was quite entertaining. ;D Life isn't so bad now, I guess. I don't mind working less, actually. I would like to be earning more money, but I don't mind having more free time so that I go out and see people. I have been friendly with some of my co-workers at the job too. I even "friended" some of them on Facebook. Also, my high school friend and I are planning a "get together" to see everyone before we all have to go our separate ways back to college again. So, things are looking better for the future. I am getting out more not only with work, but I'm hanging out with some people. Me and my friend who was with me at college want to try to read the same book at the same time and work on songwriting (she is releasing a promotional CD in August. I can't wait. . I have things keeping me occupied, which allows my thoughts and memories of bad times to fade away with time. Working where I do isn't so bad but I am going to apply for jobs earlier next year so that I can get a job closer to home. It would be nice to be able to work somewhere that is only five minutes away rather than half an hour. I hope that you're doing well, Robynn. Don't ever give up.
